Where You Work Matters

📍 Location Policy

YuHire operates across a defined set of locations worldwide. Because access to our platform and available projects depends on where you are based, your location plays a central role in your YuHire experience — from the projects you're eligible for, to the tax documents we issue you.

01 Platform Availability & Project Access

YuHire is not universally available — we operate in specific countries, and within some countries, access may be further limited by state or region. Not every location supports account registration, and even registered contributors may find that certain projects are restricted to specific geographies.

Your location also determines which tax documentation YuHire provides you with, so keeping it current and accurate is essential for both compliance and uninterrupted access.

Availability is subject to change as YuHire expands into new regions. Check your contributor dashboard for the most up-to-date list of supported locations and open projects near you.

02 Onboarding & Your Primary Location

When you join YuHire, part of the onboarding process involves confirming who you are and where you are located. This verification step protects the integrity of our platform and ensures you have access to the right projects for your area.

Identity Verification: You will be asked to submit a government-issued ID along with other supporting personal information to confirm your identity.

Location Confirmation: Your verified location becomes your Primary Location — the address from which you are authorised to access and complete work on the platform.

Location Locked: All platform activity must take place from your Primary Location. Working from elsewhere without prior authorisation is not permitted.

03 Moving or Travelling? Here's What to Do

Life happens — people relocate and travel. YuHire has a straightforward process for both scenarios so your access to the platform isn't disrupted.

🏠Permanent Relocation

If you move to a new country or, within the US, to a new state, contact our support team to update your Primary Location. You'll need to provide a valid government-issued ID from your new location. Your account will be updated once verified.

✈️Temporary Travel

Planning to work abroad for a short period? Submit a Travel Request through your contributor dashboard before you leave. If your destination is an eligible country, you may receive temporary permission to work from there during your trip.

⚠️ Always update or request approval before you start working from a new location — not after. Retroactive requests may not be approved and could affect your account standing.

04 Working Outside Your Primary Location

Attempting to access or complete work on YuHire from a location other than your registered Primary Location — without an approved Travel Request or updated Primary Location on file — is a violation of this policy.

🚫 If our systems detect activity from an unrecognised location, your account may be automatically paused until your location can be re-verified. Using a VPN or proxy to mask your true location is strictly prohibited under YuHire's Platform Security Policy.

If your account is paused for a location mismatch and you believe this was an error, don't worry — our support team is here to help. Reach out through the support portal and we'll work through the verification process with you.

05 Need Help?

Whether you're relocating, planning a trip, or facing an unexpected account pause, our support team is ready to assist. Reach out any time and we'll guide you through the process.
